Anyone who wishes to join the group should add their name to the membership list at the monthly meeting or contact us by clicking on Carol N . All are welcome to join us. No prior knowledge of art is necessary, just an interest in learning about and enjoying art.

The purpose of the group is to organise guided visits to galleries, museums, artist’s studios and places of artistic, cultural and architectural interest. Transport and refreshments will be arranged where possible. These events will usually ( but not always ) take place on the third Thursday of the month.

it is now mandatory , as part of the u3a insurance conditions, that each group has to conduct a Risk Assessment prior to any organised meeting or trip. As the Art Appreciation Group organises trips to various locations, members must inform the group leaders if they have any needs that have to be taken into account before going on a trip. This includes any physical, visual or mobility needs. It is not u3a policy to provide carers but your carer can accompany you and be accommodated if required.

When transport is provided, care should be taken when entering and leaving the coach and whilst walking around the venue. Suitable clothing and footwear should be worn. Please keep a note of the Tour Leader’s contact details in case of difficulties whilst on the trip.
