Information on anything new!
From Karen Bartlett - Hope this email finds you well and that you have been enjoying the sunshine.
The weather is very changeable at the moment and I often wonder if it's big coat weather or not. !
As Billy Connolly used to say, "there is nothing wrong with the weather it's you in the wrong clothes!"
Our meeting next week will be at the Loom. We had lots of positive feedback and some not so. The Loom staff have been made aware and will do everything in their power to change what they can and improve on what needs to be done.
There are lots of EVENTS on the website and our Group Leader's have once again excelled in their tasks of creating something for everyone.
Looking forward to seeing as many of you as can get to us for the meeting on 12th May 2026.
For those of you on holiday we hope you have a great holiday and don't forget the Rock!!!
Kind Regards
Karen Bartlett(Secretary Oldham and District u3a) xxxx

Hello,
I hope you're well. I'm from Lost in TV - we are an audience ticket company for TV and radio shows, and at the moment we are working on BBC Radio 4's Brain of Britain, which is recording in Manchester next month.
We'd love to invite you and your members at Oldham & District u3a to come along to the show, taking place at Manchester Recording Studios on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd May. We thought the local members of u3a would be a great fit to enjoy one of the world's longest running quiz shows live in the studio - tickets are free and it's always a fun and interesting way to spend an afternoon.
Do let me know if there is interest. You can book free tickets directly at https://lostintv.com/tv-show?id=1425 - please ask your members to use the promo code u3a when they book, and we'll make sure we upgrade all requests to a Plus+ ticket, it's our equivalent of a Priority ticket and this reserves their entry (TV and radio shows are overbooked and usually a ticket doesn't guarantee entry).
Or you can pass on my email address or contact number for people to request their tickets directly with me.
We hope to see lots of local members come along, in the meantime please do let me know if I can help with any further information.
Kind regards,
Jay
