Meetings are held usually on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 9.45am till about noon, at The Loom, Parliament Square, Oldham. OL1 9SA . The morning includes refreshments, usually a guest speaker and information on the various group activities you may enjoy. You are very welcome to come to a meeting to find out what goes on, and have a look round at what is available. When you arrive at the entrance foyer, look out for our team of Greeters who are there to help you, answer questions, and show you around. You do not need to join immediately, if you wish you can attend up to 3 group meetings to make sure it is right for you, before joining.
HOW TO JOIN
When you are satisfied this U3A is for you, you can join in two ways:-
At a Meeting
You can join a monthly meeting where the membership secretary will be on hand to take a cheque payment or cash and complete a membership form.
By Post
You can download a Membership Form by clicking on the Membership Form 2026/27, at the bottom of the page, print it out, fill in your details, and post, with a cheque payment, to the Membership Secretary at the address shown on the form.
£15.00 April to March (12 months) £10.00 September to March (7 months) £5.00 January to March (3months). If you are 90 years of age or over you are eligible for free membership, however you must contact Membership Secretary to confirm each renewal.
If you are already a member of the u3a at another branch then you may qualify for Associate membership: £11.00 April to March (12 months), £6.00 September to March (7 months) £1.00 January to March (3 months).
We can only accept cheque payments, BACS payments or cash not cards.
